One of the largest professional services firms in the world requires an experienced, market focused senior manager to partner with the business and sales & marketing within the South-East region. The role holder will be based in either London, Gatwick, Reading, St Albans or Uxbridge.
The regions are recognised as a profitable growth area for the firm and represent a highly fragmented and complex market, with a range of companies from large FTSE PLC's to smaller start-ups. The role holder will be expected to liaise with local leadership to understand the local market dynamics, relationships and networks, and will plan and execute the firm's strategy across the South-East. The Senior BD Manager will have a particular focus on positioning the firm's brand and growing revenue opportunities for the region, particularly in consideration of regional relationships and networks. Working collaboratively, you will find the most appropriate method for driving revenue, growing client relationships and improving market profile, and will ensure that quality and brand values are always upheld locally. Role modelling and providing professional guidance to regional sales & marketing to ensure an integrated approach to market and that all activity is aligned to the region's strategy will constitute an important element of the role. The successful applicant will also be responsible for planning and executing the region's marketing budget; including forecasts for future budgets, and for ensuring appropriate return on investment measures are in place to evaluate the effectiveness of activity and will consult with the business regarding future planned spend.
The Senior BD Manager will be of graduate calibre with a proven track record of marketing and business development success within a professional services environment. Strong knowledge of market development techniques, with experience of achieving growth in a range of market, developing and implementing marketing and business development strategy matched to commercial objectives, and of engaging multiple senior level relationships will also be essential. In addition, creativity and innovative thinking allied to excellent influencing and powerful communication skills will be key to success in this exciting role.
