Fab opportunity for a business savvy, creative thinking, brand passionate FMCG marketer to take on a busy and challenging contract role, in this dynamic pan-European business with a portfolio of brands centred around healthy eating and wellness.  Working on the largest brand in the portfolio; one with masses of heritage and brand love, you will build a compelling and innovative comms strategy and plan – delivering digital, social media and PR initiatives that drive consumer interest and engagement.  You will be responsible for the brand P&L and day-to-day management of the portfolio – reducing range complexity and driving EPD, innovation and packaging development projects.

Key responsibilities include

  • Delivery of the brand comms plan to tell the brand story and drive consumer engagement, working closely with agency partners.
  • Managing and delivering financial KPIs for the portfolio and ranges, tracking brand performance, market and category trends and competitor activity to highlight and address opportunities and issues.
  • Understanding the brand P&L to identify opportunities and challenges, and develop strategies to optimise and drive growth.
  • Delivering renovation/innovation and packaging projects on time, maximising consumer and category value within innovation funnel process.
  • Working with the category, sales and supply chain teams on launch planning, including sell ins and presentations to customers.

Key skills and experience

This is a role someone with brand passion and a true love for marketing, ideally with food experience and very savvy with digital and social media activity.  Someone with positive energy, who always has the consumer front of mind; a team player attitude and a problem solver who applies gut instinct balanced with analytical evidence and has the ability to challenge agencies to get the best results.

  • A robust track record of achievement across the mix, gained within one or more leading FMCG environments.
  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills with the ability to multi-task, work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • A good grasp of consumer insight with robust analytical and problem-solving skills; someone able to combine market and financial data to make clear business recommendations.
  • Proven ability in planning, project management and launch of NPD, EPD and packaging development initiatives.
