An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a leading law firm as a Senior Business Development Manager for their Finance team. The role holder will work with key stakeholders to develop business plans and drive effective business development activities that create and help to drive growth.

The Senior Business Development Manager will need to be proactive at developing trusted advisor relationships with Partners and teams across the firm and must develop a sophisticated and comprehensive understanding of the firm's clients, service offerings and the competitive landscape. The role will entail working closely with the leadership team to implement the strategy and will focus especially on converting new business opportunities for both practice and sector based legal teams in order to develop the business optimally. This will involve developing new opportunities within existing clients, helping to build client relationships, proposition & collateral development, pitching including document development, coaching and participation and working with the Marketing & Communication function to both ensure that the firm's insight, thought leadership and events are properly targeted, driven and deliver return on investment and to contribute to raising the profile of the practice & sector areas through PR, social media, directory submissions and other customised activities.

You must have a demonstrable track record of BD success working in a demanding and high performance environment, preferably in a professional services environment, and face to face sales and client relationship management experience. The Senior Business Development Manager will be a tenacious self-starter who has the ability to both take ownership of a project and drive it to completion whilst working as a team player and to develop networks and trusted adviser relationships with Partners and staff at all levels, influencing effectively and constructively challenging to deliver the best results. In addition, the successful candidate will be entrepreneurial, energetic and motivated with a natural enthusiasm for Business Development.
