We are looking for a talented commercial analysis professional that is looking for a challenging role in a fast-moving, progressive working environment.

Our commercial function acts as the architect of our revenue growth through customer value propositioning, base management, customer strategy, pricing and forecasting. The team works cross-functionally to lead process design which creates our portfolio of profit-maximising products and bundles leading to growth in operating cash flow, increases our NPS and optimises ROI.

The role

The purpose of this role is to put the needs of the customers at the heart of our propositions, helping make Virgin TV the UK’s best way to watch TV in a competitive and complex TV market.
You will identify what we need to do to make our TV service better for the customer, evaluate the commercial impact and work collaboratively with the wider business to make it happen.

Responsibilities

* Develop deep understanding of customer segments, trends in customer behaviour and identify what the core value drivers for TV customers. Use insight to determine VM segment growth strategy
* Define how we can differentiate based on customer needs, sector dynamics and internal capability to make Virgin TV the UK’s best way to watch the best TV
* Develop and evaluate commercial business cases; prioritizing investment across product and journey enablers on basis of customer and commercial value impact
* Plan optimum timing for CVP changes and lead integration of CVP initiatives with the wider Virgin Media product roadmap
* Ensure clear communication of VM’s CVP plan across Consumer business and the wider Liberty Global group. Ensure robust planning in place for specific CVP launches and roadmap
* Key interface with Liberty Global CVP team, establishing two way dialogue to determine best practice; collaborative development and alignment across European operating companies
* Work collaboratively with Commercial, Marketing and Operational teams to define propositions, identify enablers required and to take changes to market
* Line management responsibility for the Commercial Manager

Essential knowledge and experience

* Has experience in proposition development and management with track record of success
* Possesses commercial skills that support financial modelling and decision making
* Has strong analytical and strategic toolkit that enables ability to distill complex problems into tangible action and thought leadership to develop recommendation
* Is comfortable self-serving using intuitive analytics tools
* Has a detailed understanding of the Pay TV/Telco/OTT TV sectors and the key issues affecting our business
* Is a TV content subject expert, relating this to a customer’s perception of value
* Has experience working within, or closely with, marketing functions
