We're looking for a commercially minded marketer with experience in a trading type environment, responsible for driving customer acquisition metrics, pulling key value drivers across pricing and promotional strategies in order to achieve both volume and value based metrics.
This is a role working for one of the big tech and communications firms, sitting within their trading team. This is a 12+ month contract to cover a maternity period and is due to likely run until May 2020.
You will be overseeing the commercial planning and trading for the variety of products and services within their portfolio. More specifically, working across multiple brands and categories but aligned to the SME market place.
These are subscriptions services, and can be sold as both individual and bundled propositions.
There's a lot of data involved - looking after the daily, weekly and monthly trading, owning the plans of action across all channels for your specific area (direct retail, indirect sales channel and web). This will mean a lot of time spent in Excel analysing performance and looking to draw together decisions based on the data in order to enhance commercial performance.
Key stakeholders will include propositions and pricing teams, looking at rapid offer development and promotion through short-run campaigns in order to drive customer uptake, looking to make up any shortfalls in trading performance. This can take the forms of incentives, changes to propositions in response to competitor activities or other key value drivers all at your disposal, whilst looking to maintain margin and commercial profitability.
To be successful, you will need to not only be able to demonstrate commercial savviness, but also an ability to dig into complex ranges of offers, looking at performance/conversion and value metrics, draw conclusions in order to devise future plans of action.
There's huge opportunity to positively impact a P&L within a very fast-paced and dynamic market. Owning the tactical trading roadmap with roughly a 12 week rolling view.
Naturally any tweak or change to trading plans or customer incentives and the likes will need robust impact assessment to ensure longer term objectives remain achievable. This will also include delivering presentations to senior leadership (Director level) in order to influence decision making.
As you can imagine this will be a fast-paced environment in a competitive market with very stretching targets to achieve. If you're the kind of person who loves the cut and thrust of trading and want to be part of a decent sized-team within the telecoms and technology space, why not get in touch today to find out more?
**Please note, due to this being a contract vacancy, the client really needs people who are available with short notice to start (up to 4 weeks notice max)**
