Working for a highly reputable data consultancy, your role as the Senior Account Manager will be as the interface between the clients and data specialists who are carrying out the analysis.
You're going to be engaging with 3-4 big brand clients across retail, automotive and real estate markets. Acting as the liaison and translator for both client and the analytics function.
This will involve both elements of traffic management - being first point of contact for all workflow coming in and out of the data team. Ensuring briefs are clearly defined. Pushing back and pressing clients for information to ensure you're able accurately prioritise and brief the work to the teams. Not bring afraid to push back and challenge thinking where appropriate.
To do this will require a degree of understanding about data and analytics, whilst this is not a hands-on analytics position, understanding the application of data and analytics solutions in helping to solve real world issues is required.
For example, you may have a conversation with a retail client on recommending an analysis project to identify key insights to support a product range strategy decisions. It's important you're able to discuss the possible approaches and the pros and cons of each. Then be able to probe the business challenge so you can shape it into a well rounded brief for the analysis team to take action up.
In addition, there is a client facing requirement, as you will be delivering presentations on analysis findings back to clients. Articulating the story within, making it impactful and meaningful to client marketing functions.
You will be working with existing clients to identify future projects opportunities. Understanding their business challenges and pitching the various solution the agency is able to provide.
You will also look after budgeting for projects and client invoicing.
This is a new position to the business, created to help improve workflow and delivery capabilities - freeing up analysts to do what they do best. With you handling the client engagement and taking out the complexity for clients, when articulating project recommendations and analysis results.
The business unit is made up of around 65 people, split between marketing and risk analytics divisions. You will be supporting the marketing analytics unit within the data consulting practice.
They're a very personable bunch, and they give a lot of autonomy and empowerment to people so they can be successful in their roles. There's even the opportunity to home work periodically.
The clients are principally located in and around their offices, and with this having a client facing requirement, they do need someone who's able to drive.
Role: Senior Data Account Manager
Location: Sheffield (with some travel to client sites)
Salary: £35,000 to £40,000
