THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

The Senior Digital Product Owner will work with all functions of the business and directly with teams to build products and services across channels and platforms that will improve customer experience, efficiencies and create new ways for The Body Shop to drive profitable growth.

S/he will manage the roadmap for our global digital products and solutions that will range from our eCommerce platform to digital marketing technology stack and CRM/loyalty technologies. S/he will prioritise initiatives based on strategic and commercially driven business cases, whilst championing a customer centric approach to product development. S/he will also be responsible for their delivery through a mix of agile and waterfall methodology. Delivery will be for Company Markets and best practices will be shared with Franchise Markets.

MORE ABOUT THE ROLE

* Accountable for shaping and managing roadmaps for a portfolio of digital products from strategic planning to tactical activities
* Engagement with business stakeholders to cover the strategic aspects of product development, including product vision definition, roadmap creation and business case creation, keeping product Return on Investment (ROI) and business value delivery as the core focus
* Working closely with stakeholders to integrate digital roadmap with business strategy and considering business benefits and feasibility
* Support execution of our digital and technology strategy
* Responsible for the on-time, on-budget and on-strategy delivery of our products and projects through careful prioritisation and review
* Identify opportunities for innovation, pilots and prototyping. Work with markets to implement and gather learnings to inform the roadmap
* Responsible for the successful end-to-end delivery of new digital products or enhancements
* Provide mechanism for business stakeholder requests for incorporating into the digital product roadmap and backlog where appropriate, and working with Customer Experience Design Lead and Product Owners to validate against customer needs and potential business benefits
* Manage products owners and their delivery, as well as deliver own discrete initiatives from the digital roadmap
* Strong collaboration with IT, International Digital and Market teams to ensure timely rollout of product roadmap

* International Digital Products for Customer Experience and internal alignment
* International Digital team for integration into website operation, event activation and digital marketing activity
* Customer Insights / Research for business case development and validation; KPI setting / measurement
* Market teams to engage them with roadmap and support market adoption
* Legal to ensure that deployments meet local legislative requirements
* IT to deliver the ongoing development and support
* Finance to validate business cases and setup ongoing reporting
* Retail Academy / Retail Ops for deployment, training and stores execution
* Sourcing / Procurement for vendor selection process
* Customer Insights / Research for business case development and validation; KPI setting / measurement
* Customer Care for management of customer issues and complaints
* Head Franchise representatives
* Technology suppliers
* Freelancers / Contractors

IDEAL EXPERIENCE

* Extensive experience in Product Management or as Product Owner
* Proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership of digital products and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment
* Hands on experience with agile methodologies
* Solid experience in working as a business analyst and product owner with varied project delivery across eCommerce and CRM/loyalty. Retail store project delivery desirable
* Excellent project management skills. Ability to manage multiple cross-functional team projects across critical deadlines
* Blend of business, technical and management skills, with understanding of customer experience and marketing
* Experience in A/B testing and data analytics to inform product roadmap
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills
* Strong retail/consumer facing experience

• Solid technology understanding; ability to communicate effectively with the delivery team and communicate clearly back to business stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS

Degree qualified.

LOCATION

Our global HQ is located in the heart of East Croydon – 1 minute walk from the train station and is just 10 minutes train ride from Clapham Junction and 16 minutes from London Victoria. Our brand new office opened just over one year ago and provides a light, modern and open-plan work space that includes an onsite global café and even a living wall in the reception area.
