Job Context

Here at Three we have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Finance Analyst to join the Contract Trading (CT) Finance team, a fast paced, adaptive and commercially insightful area of the business.

Within the CT Team, there are 8 people spread across two areas; Acquisition and Retention. This role sits within the Retention team and is responsible for providing financial & trend information within the department and to the wider business to be used to improve performance across multiple business KPIs.

We are looking for a proactive and ambitious individual who wishes to grow and develop their financial/commercial experience in a demanding but enjoyable environment working in a fast-paced environment

Within this role, reporting to the Senior Finance Manager within the retention team, you’ll gain exposure to various areas of the business and enjoy sharing insights gained to influence trading.

Roles & Responsibilities

What will you be doing?

This exciting position enables you to develop specialist knowledge of trading in a Telco company. The role requires strong relationships to be built across the wider contract trading and finance community to ensure that you can deliver accurate and timely information.

Main responsibilities would include:

Create/maintain/improve business case templates and work with the Commercial Teams to populate assumptions by analysing historic run rate information/prices/market dynamics and evaluate the impact of these based on differing trading initiatives before providing conclusions and recommendations to the Finance Managers within retention

Refresh and update weekly reporting packs whilst ensuring data accuracy. Analyse these reports to identify key insights and discuss these with relevant stakeholders/colleagues

Produce the month end reporting and analysis and update monthly financial review presentations, highlighting key movements/trends whilst highlighting the impact of key initiatives/price changes in the month

Identify areas where improvements can be made to processes/reporting/data accuracy etc

Support the Finance Managers on Ad hoc projects and other business requirements

Take responsibility for documenting the process activities undertaken by the team, ensuring they are fit for purpose to ensure knowledge sharing across the team

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

The role would suit someone who can adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment who has a keen interest in analysing large data sets and concluding key stories from the data available.

The type of person we are looking for:

* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
* Excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
* Experience of using/desire to learn Microsoft Power BI
* Interested in commercial dynamics
* Strong attention to detail
* Strong analytical skills, showing ability to improve accuracy & efficiency
