This is a unique opportunity to join one of the best known brands in the UK. The Online Sales and Marketing department comprises around 40 people, working across online marketing and e-commerce. The team is responsible for acquiring new Sky customers and driving existing customer upgrades, across Sky Sports, Sky Cinema, Box Sets, Sky Q, and Broadband products, through all digital channels (display, email, paid and natural search, affiliates, social media, sky.comshop, Sky App, and Interactive TV) – as well as retaining customers on these products – to drive revenue for Sky. Online is currently the largest route-to-market within acquisition, responsible for driving around 30% of all of Sky’s new customer sales and up to 20% of existing customer upgrades, and online sales are positioned to grow significantly over the next few years.

Generating high volume, quality traffic to Sky’s website and ensuring strong conversion off the back of a great online customer experience is paramount. The team runs multiple creative campaigns and offers to achieve this, which requires bespoke creative and individual plans for each. As Sky has one of the largest digital marketing budgets in the UK, and it is estimated that up to 70% of the UK is exposed to at least one digital marketing campaign by Sky online every month – idea generation is paramount. There is a great opportunity to innovate and try to push the boundaries of what can be done.

Purpose: To drive customer growth of Sky’s products – by developing the buying experience, across the digital journey.

Role:
•Developing and owning the digital customer journeys for new customers joining Sky TV with various products and existing customers upgrading to various products – as well as for those trying to downgrade from various products
•Setting core KPI’s to hit both volume and value targets – and regular performance reporting and identification of conversion opportunities
•Delivering short-medium term performance plans for each of product, to improve the user experience and conversion rate
•Delivering long term strategic plans for the delivery of propositions and products through and with the propositions teams
•Managing prioritisation of capability requirements and roadmap with digital product team, collaboratively informing and delivering change to improve customer experience and conversion
•Forging strong relationships with the marketing teams and agencies, to optimise the end to end online journey and purchase process
•Working across many multi-disciplinary teams, you will bring to life complex customer experience plans and gain stakeholder buy-in at each stage
•Working with digital production and campaign teams to ensure creative direction, design execution, offer, platform capability will maximise conversion

Sample ProjectsActivities:
•Consolidate purchase journeys – there are many pages online which each have high traffic conversion rates – some focusing on selling TV products, some on selling broadband products, and others on selling both TV and broadband products. What is the most efficient journey to sell both TV and broadband – and how can we develop the sales journey to maximise conversion of these products across new existing retention?

Required Skills
•Ability to engage and drive cross-functional teams; manage both internal relationships and external agencies
•Demonstrable expertise in data-driven optimisation of ecommerce experiences.
•Experience of using insight & analytics to drive ecommerce development.
•Ability to engage and drive cross-functional teams; manage both internal relationships and day to day operations
•Passion for digital marketing and ecommerce
•A high level of experience in managing and delivering a product roadmap; driving commercial, system, network and operational process changes
•Understanding of commonly used web tools and technologies
•Experience of using AB and multivariate testing tools and techniques
