A great role has come onto the market with a large international law firm which has undergone an exciting period of growth and needs an outstanding Marketing and BD specialist to work with their Litigation, Arbitration and Employment partners.
The role is integral in helping to drive forward Practice Group strategy to ensure the organisation maximises its opportunities to grow its revenues from existing and prospective clients, raise the firm's profile and positon within key markets and coordinate its people, knowledge and resources in an effective and efficient manner. You will develop and implement the global practice marketing and business development plan in line with LAE business strategy and objectives. You will also manage the global team and infrastructure that support practice Marketing and BD as well as acting as the group's central point of contact coordinating activities among the central BD functions to ensure prompt, seamless service delivery in support of the practice group's needs. With line management responsibility for the UK based LAE M&BD team members, you will play a critical role in supporting client development and profile raising initiatives in the UK and international markets. The candidate will also work closely with other senior members of the global M&BD team to ensure that UK and International M&BD programs support the firm and practice priorities. The role holder will be tasked with developing robust M&BD plans and managing the implementation of those plans, leveraging dedicated M&BD resource across the international network, and regularly monitoring and reporting on progress. The Senior Marketing and BD Manager will hold client account management responsibility for some of the firm's key client as well as LAE strategic priority clients and will co-lead the LAE's global Client Listening Programme, Leading strategy and coaching around specific client opportunities to broaden existing relationships and drive the development of new relationships. The role holder will also be responsible for advising partners and teams on specific new business opportunities and providing support on the development of the firm's proposition, approach, team and supporting materials. Promoting pitching best practice across the group, you will offer advice on panel and opportunity-specific pitches across the LAE UK and international practice, preparing pitch teams for presentations and carrying out post-pitch and client service reviews. Overseeing the delivery of global LAE marketing programs and campaigns to raise the profile of the practice in the UK and international markets will constitute an important aspect of the role and you will work with the central PR team to leverage thought leadership, sponsorships and targeted events programs, including the firm's approach to directories and awards.
Pre-requisites for this role include an outstanding academic record allied to proven business development experience gained in a leading law or professional services firm. Litigation, Arbitration and Employment experience would be helpful but it is by no means essential, it is more about how you can influence internal clients to increase revenues.
