ETOA (European Tourism Association) celebrated 30 years of representing tourism issues in Europe last year and boasts over 1300 globally based companies including hotels, attractions, tourist boards, DMC’s, wholesalers, restaurants, government agencies, marketing and tourism service companies. Its remit is wide including representing and lobbying the industry’s concerns at government level - both central and local – and through its events, workshops, trade shows and communication efforts brings together the industry to help their commercial activities and inform and educate the industry on issues affecting European Tourism. 

We are recruiting a commercially led Senior Marketing Manager to increase ETOA’S reach and presence and ensure a consistent ETOA message is communicated. The role will help support the Head of Communications to shape the marketing strategy and manage a small team.

Key responsibilities will include : 

  • Manage the company website
  • Onboard the new Salesforce and Pardot Plus system
  • Manage all exhibition stands as the company exhibits globally include trade shows in Europe, USA and China
  • Strategise all marketing and communications with a view to engage existing membership and to drive new sales lead for the sales team
  • Manage some of the company workshops and events
  • Work closely with the heads of departments including sales, marketing , finance
  • Manage a small team who look after social media, email communications, off line and online marketing
  • Oversee the production of the annual membership directory 

The Senior Marketing Manager should be able to demonstrate to us : 

  • Experience of working with Salesforce and Pardot Plus
  • Experience of working on websites
  • Experience of working with Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of the travel and tourism industry – you should be familiar with major trade events such as WTM, ITB, FITUR, USTOA
  • Be commercially driven
  • Senior marketing experience – online and offline
  • Project management and working to deadlines
  • Man management experience
  • Fluency in English is essential – a 2nd European language very useful 

The Senior Marketing Manager will have the opportunity to travel to key global events and have close communications with senior members of the travel industry.  As they are just introducing Salesforce we are keen to meet candidates who have worked on this or CRM and database systems.
