A leading global law firm is seeking a Senior PR Adviser who will take specific overall responsibility for the firm's disputes practice. The role holder will act as an ambassador for the firm with London based business, sector-specific and legal journalists and will work with the practice to identify and suggest opportunities for external profile raising.
The Public Relations team is responsible for managing the firm's relationships with media and also has a broader reputational role focused on managing risk, seeking out issues around which the firm can build reputation and educating the practice on the importance of and tools used in managing reputation. The team is also responsible for managing aspects of the firm's internal communications with a particular emphasis on delivery.
The Senior PR Adviser will be tasked with developing and regularly reviewing a PR strategy, PR plan and clear and measurable objectives for the disputes practice. Building relationships with key targets with national and trade press, you will identify potential news and topics and comment on resultant opportunities generated within the firm as well as driving proactive tactical news. In addition you will implement a media contacts programme for individual partners and practices. Other responsibilities of this role include managing thought leadership campaigns, assisting in the preparation of submissions for awards entries, organising the annual London office press party and supporting the Senior PR Manager on firmwide corporate reputation issues as and when required.
You will therefore need to be a bright graduate with proven PR experience gained in either journalism or the professional services sector. The Senior PR Adviser should also be a confident, well organised, team player with excellent communication skills and relationship building expertise.
