About this role

With this opportunity you'd be joining a business unit experiencing double digit growth, and expectations are this should continue because of the innovation pipeline coming down the track.

As the Senior Propositions Manager, your remit will be to oversee this consumer mobile related product category and all connected devices which leverage off it.

You will have one direct report supporting you, and they're a very competent individual who has a decent pedigree in consumer telecoms. Therefore they're not so precious about needing someone in this position to need to come from their industry either.

Your remit will be to oversee the successful growth of a category of approximately £300m and growing and a customer base of around 1m+.

In terms of day to day, what that means is:

  • Own the strategy and innovation pipeline for the proposition roadmap - from business case to go to market and in-life
  • Keep an eye on market changes, adapting and modifying the strategy and tactical activity accordingly
  • Responsible for all product updates and new launches for this category
  • Keep a view on where new propositions impact existing product and propositions portfolio, or where other propositions could compliment and be bundled in to support your category's commercial objectives
  • Set the pricing strategy for the proposition portfolio
  • Be the key point of contact for this business area, dealing with senior stakeholders and exec board, being the 'face for the category' in key meetings and presentations

Key skills required

  • Evidence of ability to formulate a category plan, commercial strategy and objective achievement
  • You've got the skills when it comes to complete business case development, taking a proposition through the go to market stages and launching
  • Great commercial skills, looking at pricing strategies and bundling/unbundling of these
  • Driven by commercial success with evidence of hitting P&L targets
  • Leadership skills - you're able to manage an experienced report
  • Can be seen as the authority around a product category with senior business leaders and board members, so very confident handling queries, delivering presentations and updates on category performance, etc.
  • Insight driven - you develop propositions based on clear customer needs and market opportunity balanced with commercial objectives
  • Must have the necessary visas to live and work in the UK - sponsorship cannot be provided.
