SENIOR SOCIAL INSIGHT ANALYST

CLIENT

This is a brand new role sitting within the Analytics Team for a leading digital advertising agency, reporting into the head of the function.

Your manager hails from an impressive data agency background and has recently been hired in order to lead the way on social insights and customer data science.

With the growth of social insights in the current market, this is a challenging, rewarding and cutting-edge space to apply your analytical talent.

The plan is to grow the analytics team and in turn offering, significantly, so you will be joining at an exciting time of growth and change; so huge opportunity to diversify your skills across lots of different analytical projects.

ROLE

Whilst this role is not hugely focused on coding, you need to be adept and passionate about pulling insights from large disparate sources of data in order to inform Social Media Marketing strategy and campaign activity for a variety of clients. You will create and analyse quantitative surveys, as well as working closely with the Data Science team.

Ideally you will come from a media analysis or social background, but a keen interest in leveraging your grounding in analysis and insights in this area is essential. And given the young nature of this role, you will need to be comfortable with ambiguity and ambitious enough to develop and grow the use of insights within social media.

You will lead the way on insight and consulting on how to leverage data to drive decisioning around social media marketing. The role does not currently have any direct reports, but does have the potential to manage in the near future.

Being a brand new role this offers a greenfield opportunity to grow your analytical skills in social insight measurement and to work within a digital environment of great value.

LOCATION: Central London

SALARY: £50k - £65k plus benefits and growth opportunity


Experienced required:

  • Educated to degree level in a numerate or marketing related subject
  • Experience using paid social measurement tools such as Quid, Infegy, Pulsar, Audiense, TGI and YouGov, Brandwatch etc.
  • The ability to turn data into actionable insights which inform digital marketing strategies
  • A passion for social marketing, research and analytics; experience in creating quantitative surveys
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work well with others and work in cross functional teams
  • Ability to manage and prioritise several concurrent tasks
  • Ability to clearly explain complex technical ideas to multiple audiences both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to move beyond descriptive analytics and employ more sophisticated techniques (predictive & prescriptive)
  • Ability to set individual goals for other social reporting resources and measuring individual success / performance
