DESCRIPTION

Amazon is seeking a self-motivated, highly organised and creative digital communications professional to join the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) consumer communications team. The individual will lead social media strategy and campaign development across the PR team as well as coordinate EMEA delivery of social media, influencer and own channel consumer campaigns. This role reports into the EMEA Consumer PR Campaigns Lead and will work closely with in-country PR leads and the wider global organisation to develop digital strategy, plans and campaign toolkits that can be scaled and rolled out across the region as required.

The successful candidate will have leadership experience; a proven track record of strategic planning and delivery of digital consumer comms campaigns; experience of working across multiple market segments; a strong understanding of the current digital/social media landscape; experience of delivering successful social media and influencer campaigns – both organic and paid; and experience of delivering measurable results in both key brand and commercial metrics. They should be a strategic thinker, goal oriented and enjoy working in a fast-paced, start-up culture.

Key responsibilities include:
· Developing and implementing social media/influencer/digital comms strategies, briefs and plans in line with PR priorities and campaigns
· Coordination, creation and delivery of social media focused content and campaigns across EMEA
· Utilising industry and customer insight to inform strategies and remain an expert regarding on-going social trends and new platforms
• Working with global social leads to help define global measurement and ROI for social campaigns and support in evolving our social brand guidelines
• Supporting local teams to deliver cohesive EMEA-wide monitoring, measurement and evaluation in line with global goals
• Evolving channel admin and reporting processes to ensure a slick and cohesive operation
• Collaborating with internal stakeholder teams – both locally and globally – including global social team leads to drive successful campaign delivery
• Own high level agency relationships with influencer networks
• Own channel management and toolkit creation

Skills:
• Digital Communications expert - a demonstrated knowledge of what works for a brand across social media and own channels including working successfully with influencers in both the organic and paid space
• Tactically aware – knowledgeable about what’s going on in social media and digital communications, as well as the wider retail industry, to deliver maximum benefit for the brand
• Strategic thinker - ensuring that EMEA-wide activity delivers against global goals, core business objectives and articulates key messages
• Proactive in the extreme - enjoys taking responsibility and making things happen – often to a tight deadline
• Highly organised - able to juggle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while managing essential admin and reporting work
• Strong leader - able to inspire teams and agencies to deliver and demonstrate responsibility to senior managers
• Adaptable - able to work in a corporate environment and quickly gain knowledge of different locales to ensure campaigns can deliver or be adapted for multiple territories

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of ten years digital comms experience – currently working at a senior level
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Expertise in consumer and retail comms initiatives
• Track record of strategic planning and delivery on major social media/digital comms campaigns
• Experience of using customer data/insights to inform campaign strategy and planning
• Experience of using the latest social media monitoring and analysis tools
• Experience of delivering successful influencer campaigns
• Strong competency in basic Office software (Outlook, Excel etc.)
• Educated to a degree level

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience of working across multiple markets delivering coordinated campaigns
• Innovates and comes up with new, peculiar and effective ideas
