Our Milton Keynes office is seeking a Stress Testing Credit Analyst to join the team on a 12 month FTC. Within the Santander UK Risk Division, the IFRS9 Stress Testing team is responsible for modelling the impact on provision losses over a range of different scenarios and time horizons.

The team plays a key role in the determination loss outcomes for Santander UK and also provides the credit loss projections used in internal and external stress testing exercises including those requested by regulatory authorities.

As a Stress Testing Credit Analyst your main responsibilities will be

* Solving complex business problems and providing practical value-based solutions.

* Taking accountability for an area of credit policy, or a suite of risk models, monitoring performance, clearly communicating issues, developing and recommending changes where appropriate.

* Ensuring that strong links are maintained between Risk and other key business areas.

* Build and maintain relationships with counterparts in other business areas, providing regular progress updates and gathering intelligence on business performance and developments.

* Use expert knowledge of Santander credit policy, systems, processes and business plans to support the development and maintenance of optimal Risk decisioning infrastructure

Minimum skills and experience required

* Expert programming skills in relevant statistical analysis tools (e.g. SAS)

* Proven detailed awareness of credit industry products and markets

* Very high degree of mathematical literacy Strong oral and written communication skills

* Track record of successful delivery in a statistical analysis role of similar complexity and level, preferably within a credit risk function

* Degree from a technical discipline or equivalent experience
