The leading Beauty company is looking to appoint a Studio Manager to manage the UK creative team. This role will take responsibility for UK creative studio and manage all of the day to day elements of the busy function.

The UK Beauty company has radically changed over the last couple of years. After moving away from a 1% mentality they have transformed their product range to cater to a wide range of consumers. With a renewed focus on Digital and Social, they have engaged with a young and vibrant customer based and the brand has something of a cult following.

The creative team is incredibly fast-paced, the Studio Manager will manage all of the day to day activities of the studio, from making sure creative work is briefed appropriately, managing project deadlines and make sure work is apportioned to the appropriate person. 

Their culture is centred around empowerment & passion for their products with the appointment of their new Marketing Director there is a new drive within the team to grow and expand. The Marketing Director is a real leader within marketing, they focus on empowering the team to succeed and grow within their roles.

As Studio Manager / Studio Traffic Manager / Creative Manager you will join our successful team based in their London offices (Baker Street) and be responsible for:

  • Day to day management of UK based creative studio, oversee all design briefs for UK channels.
  • Responsible for the overall functioning of the creative studio, from receipt of brief to delivery of UK assets.
  • Regular check-in on creative studio SLA, to ensure that UK channels receive assets on time, in budget and fit for purpose, in-line with UK sales and marketing KPI’s.
  • Day to day studio contact for all UK teams submitting creative briefs, with full responsibility for adherence to deadlines.
  • Book briefing and review meetings into diaries, to ensure face to face communication with channels.
  • Maintain a commercial perspective on work at all times and manage cost reconciliations on all projects 
  • Tracking and taking ownership of Creative budgets, with sign off via the Marketing director. Ensuring invoices are paid and PO’s created on time. Communicate with Finance and keep the Head of Marketing updated regularly on spend.
  • Collating all brand assets before the briefing process starts and storing these in the right location on internal servers for ease of use and accessibility for designers and wider UK team needing access to assets.  

The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing a creative studio, be a team player and have an established career in creative services. You can have experience from either an agency or client side background as long as you have managed a fast-paced creative workflow.

The Studio Manager / Studio Traffic Manager / Creative Manager - Beauty role requires the following experience: 

  • Several years experience as a Studio Manager or in a similar role project managing, tracking and scheduling.
  • Previous experience as a Traffic Manager would be useful.
  • Experience in managing workflows across creative and production teams. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects, contending priorities simultaneously within a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong proofing skills would be a huge advantage.
  • Impeccable organizational skills and avid user of Excel, Powerpoint and Word.
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of the creative and production process across multiple disciplines like print, digital, film and events amongst others. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Commercially aware, forward-thinking and excellent problem-solving skills. 
  • You love working with teams to support the creation of big creative solutions. 
  • You will be that mix of calm, diligent, confident and fun.
