Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated colleague to join a rapidly growing Product Development team based in Burnley.

The right candidate would be working closely with Marketing, Sales and Software Development, and will take responsibility for the development team and make sure all product road map targets are met on time, as well as quality checks and UI/UX guides are followed.

A major focus will be applying agile and engineering best practices for the development of high-quality products to recruit, motivate and empower employee development as well as supporting on meeting the deadlines to product road maps and actively engaging with the road map to make suggestions and improvements to this and the product overall.

The right candidate should have a proven record of success in SaaS product environments, delivering measurable results. You should have the ability to work enthusiastically with the development team and other colleagues outside of software development to achieve business objectives.

Key Requirements:

  • A proven track record of inspiring and motivating people throughout their career to deliver great software.
  • Drive architecture/ design decisions needed to achieve high performance results and manage multiple product development projects in an agile environment.
  • Responsible to recruit, manage, motivate and retain the best talent in a performance-driven, hyper-growth organisation.
  • Strong technical background in PHP, Dev Ops and UI/UX in an agile environment.
  • Background in Cloud software Start-up Environment with solid experience in the fields of technical management, delivering on time and on budget projects, strong knowledge on security, testing and development.
  • Being on top of the user feedback and user flow metrics to identify opportunities to improve the user experience.
  • Monitoring and reporting on progress, impact and consistency across the business and identifying a clear set of KPIs for each challenge
  • Extensive Software Engineering experience with progressively increasing responsibilities in a senior leadership capacity.
  • People management experience of staff with a track record of scaling multiple engineering teams.
  • Train and support our clients Sales and Client Services teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Demonstrate the ability to motivate and innovate with excellent team building and leadership skills.
  • Willingness and experience to work at a detailed technical level with Dev and UI Designers.
  • Experience in handling Engineering escalations from customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong operational and project management skills in a product development environment.
  • Make the product Roadmap your own adding to it and making sure the deadlines are met as well as liaising with the commercial director on client requests and requirements.
  • Understanding of Quality and how to build complex systems that scale and are highly tested.
  • Positive energy and enthusiasm were looking for super-smart people who are excited about solving big problems, love learning and are self-motivated to get things done.
  • Planning systems or online analytical processing experience is highly desirable.
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Software Engineering or related discipline preferred.

Desired Skills/ Experience:

  • Strong (4+ years) digital Product Management experience, preferably within B2B Enterprise SaaS or a related field.
  • Experience in digital marketing and marketing automation would be highly beneficial.
  • You will be able to demonstrate exposure to and experience of core development skills information architecture, user journeys, wireframe design, testing and design briefs.
  • Highly skilled at critical decision-making; ability to evaluate business issues and resolve problems
  • Must be able to thrive in a highly dynamic, flexible work environment and switch rapidly from strategy to execution
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
  • Significant experience working in Agile environments
  • Proven ability to articulate business opportunities into actionable roadmaps through to implementation
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in English
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Good academics (or equivalent work experience)
