Tender Writer

£25-30k DOE

South London, commutable from areas such as: Croydon, Sutton, Bromley and Mitcham


A fantastic opportunity has just arisen to join a very successful and long standing company based in South London.

The position would suit someone with strong, creative copywriting skills who has the ability to produce high quality, written proposals that clearly articulate an organisations value proposition.

The successful candidate will be working closely with both the marketing and sales teams on a daily basis so will have a friendly, supportive and dedicated network within the organisation.

You will need previous tender/bid writing experience in order to carry out this role as you will be involved in the whole process.

This is a full time role based in the office five days a week.

Your role will involve:

  • Writing content for new business tender responses that are bespoke to prospective customers
  • Writing and collating proposals for strategic sales opportunities
  • Ensuring all work submitted is clear, concise and error free
  • Engaging with relevant stakeholders to fully understand potential customers and their requirements
  • Managing marketing templates, tools and guidelines and ensuring they are available to teams on the appropriate intranet sites
  • Providing monthly reports on tender results

You will be the ideal candidate due to your:

  • Excellent written English skills and attention to detail with a strong background in tender/bid writing
  • Strong comprehension skills
  • Possess a creative flair combined with commercial writing skills
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines and supporting colleagues to meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence to communicate at all levels
  • Desktop publishing skills - proficient with advanced features of MS Word/PowerPoint
  • Experience leading projects and coordinating activities within a team
  • A self-starter with a 'can do' attitude
  • Strong analytical skills are required to interpret information, data and research quickly
