The Marketing Campaign Manager is responsible for raising awareness of the The Economist Intellignce Unit brand, communicating its capabilities and managing campaigns to generate prospects and qualified sales leads. The successful candidate will oversee PR and social media activity in line with business objectives, including managing day to day relationships with our external PR agencies.

Accountabilities

How you will contribute:

* Manage PR agencies to build awareness and reputation of the EIU brand
* Liaise with EIU analysts to take advantage of media interviews and other PR opportunities
* Identify relevant topics of interest to increase EIU impact and influence in the marketplace
* Manage the content calendar and coordinate white paper creation with the editorial team
* Collaborate with marketing colleagues to schedule activities across the group
* Create and deliver targeted content marketing and acquisition campaigns, including via PR, email, webinars and social media
* Work with colleagues to deliver responsive and cost-effective campaigns to drive increased traffic and visitor engagement with key portions of the website
* Organise and deliver events to help cement relationships between the EIU and customers
* Manage the promotional budget to ensure monthly spend is within agreed guidelines
* Support the subscription sales teams with accurate information and printed collateral
* Provide reports on campaign performance, media coverage, sales leads generated and ROI
* Coordinate activities with the digital marketing and demand generation teams
* Manage, motivate and develop staff to meet the requirements of their specific roles and those of the EIU

Experience, skills and professional attributes

The desirable skills for this role include:

* Solid experience of content marketing and PR in a B2B subscriptions environment
* Demonstrable experience managing external PR agencies to achieve objectives
* Able to identify target audiences and devise campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
* Experience managing and optimising social media channels and executing campaigns
* Creative outlook, able to develop engaging and impactful content marketing campaigns
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, marketing automation (e.g. Marketo) and SalesForce.com
* Experience of media channels, including broadcast, print media and industry verticals
* Good copywriting skills, able to communicate clearly and succinctly
* Comfortable working in a matrix environment with multiple stakeholders
* Strong collaborative skills and able to achieve results through other people
* Excellent communication and time management skills
* Experience of working in an international environment
* Educated to degree level or equivalent
