The Role:

In this exciting brand new position you will proactively work with the sales teams and customers to develop, implement and manage key initiatives with retail and distribution customers to meet business objectives and achieve maximum ROI. This is a brand-new role and the ideal plan is to make the successful candidate permanent after completing an effective initial 12 months in the role.

Role & responsibilities:

  • Implement BTL strategies within companywide brand guidelines as well as customer's & consumer's expectations.
  • Develop best in class Point of Sale Material (POSM) and improve the biannual distributor catalogues and seasonal promotions, ensuring trade literature is up to date and meets all guidelines.
  • Develop a national/channel/account and region-specific trade marketing and customer engagement strategy to drive commercial revenue growth
  • Establish yourself as the glue between Marketing & Sales teams to ensure achievement of objectives
  • Create KPIs for Sales Team (# of POS, merchandising, etc.)
  • Manage retail agencies and support retail outlets
  • Implement display solutions utilising display catalogue with focus on better return of investment.
  • Accurately forecast branded gifts and any other special packs for all areas of the sector.
  • Closely track and analyse promotion / POS effectiveness and provide measures accordingly.
  • Pre & post promotions evaluation.
  • Monitor trade environment and competitors.
  • Support Trade events planning and execution Retail and DIY.
  • Travel within territory approximately 30%-40% of the time, assisting 150-200 partner showrooms nationally.

We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • 3+ year's marketing experience working within a fast-paced B2C or FMCG market
  • Strong communicator with well-honed written and presentation skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders including sales teams and customers with face-to-face dialogue
  • Flexibility to travel for customer meetings and events
  • Excellent planning skills and thorough follow up to meet deadlines and strong attention to detail


Benefits of this Trade Marketing Executive (12-month Fixed Term Contract) role:

  • Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 Basic + 10% Annual Bonus
