Its an outstanding opportunity to gain access to both National Accounts and Marketing/Insights/Category work whilst carving out your own niche in a hugely supportive and "family feel" business.
You're going to be in a commercial role currently - Customer or Trade Marketing, or a Senior Field Merchandiser, or possibly a Buyer Assistant looking to step outside of retail and work in a manufacturer. Above all you will have a keen appreciation of getting on with the job in-hand, be highly motivated to succeed in everything you do and be the type of person who can't sit still - you need to be active and taking the initiative. With a remote National Account team and office based Marketing/Insight team you will be office based 3-4 days per week with an element of field based activities - store visits and audits, customer meetings and the like. Consequently, you will need to be a well organised and confident individual who will take it upon themselves to be busy and working to key deliverables.
The position sits between Sales and Marketing and is designed to develop compelling arguments and proposals to drive listings, distribution, promotions and display in Top 4 Grocery accounts. You will report to the Business Account Manager and provide Insight, Category activity, competitor analysis and activity on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. Working with the National Account team, your support is going to prove invaluable in bringing the brand plans to life.
But this IS NOT an admin filler and form forecaster support role. You're going to be hands on getting "under the skin" of the customer strategy and understanding the category as a whole and in relation to the retailers performance. You're going to be running audits, be heavily involved in Head Office customer meetings, internal strategy meetings and planning/prep.
We want someone who will get involved, pick up the phone and talk to Supply Chain, get into Regional/Cluster Store meetings and create contacts across the account base at senior level. More than likely there will be more you will get involved in as the role goes on and grows - you will uncover new activity and responsibilities as you progress - that's the beauty of the role being brand new. You can really make your mark and make the role your own. Who knows where that can take you.......
