UI Designer

Full-time, permanent

Central London

£30k - £36k per annum, plus excellent benefits

My client is an FX broking technology platform based in the City, currently looking to expand their digital and marketing team with the addition of a UI Web Designer. This is a newly-created role, working within a collaborative and lively team, who have recently taken the company through a full re-brand.

They have a number of key, strategic initiatives under-way, as they look to gain a competitive edge in positioning themselves as a partner of choice in the trading and payments technology space.

Working alongside the Head of CX, the organisation offers a great deal of ownership and the opportunity to make your own mark on the role and team. The role is likely to suit a UI designer with 1-3 years' experience, either within a design agency or internal design team, with a strong desire to work in-house.

As the company has a long road-map of key design work ahead, they are looking for someone who will consider the role a long-term opportunity and platform for career growth!

As the team is very hands-on, you're likely to be asked to take on some work outside your usual remit to support the team, so will be happy to pitch-in and help with aspects such as brochure creation (up to 10% of the role).

About the opportunity:

  • Leading the design of a client-facing web app suite.
  • Designing and improving the overall customer experience by managing UI across all technology solutions whilst acting as a brand guardian for style and consistency.
  • Looking after all web and responsive design, e.g. mobile, tablet and desktop.
  • Close work with marketing and development teams.
  • Continuously reviewing and optimising digital channels, including client-facing systems, delivering improvements to experience and performance.
  • Managing website updates with the support of the front-end developers.
  • Supporting marketing collateral updates as required.
  • Maintaining a high standard/consistency of design across all platforms.

About you:

  • Sketch App or Adobe XD experience.
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign).
  • Responsive design skills.
  • Experience working to project deadlines.
  • Video editing skills are an advantage.
  • Adobe Premier and After Effects skills are advantageous.
